New Year, New Website

Happy new year everyone! I hope 2018 got off to a great start.

2017 was a busy and quite defining year for me. Between my formal career, travelling and curating content for Musu Kaikai, managing marketing and PR for Sierra Leone based fashion house Madam Wokie, and  launching  my new website Mode Observer, it is safe to say that I have been a busy bee. I am grateful for what turned out to be a productive and quite fulfilling year, which, among other things, culminated in Madam Wokie’s feature on CNN Inside Africa, and me being nominated for the Excellence Award at the NEXTE & HEIRS Africa Awards 2017. While I did not win the award, it felt great to be recognised for my work. By Christmas 2017 I was totally spent and decided that rather than take the yearly pilgrimage back home to Sierra Leone, I would visit somewhere new, somewhere tropical, like The Bahamas.  My trip to the Bahama was the fist time I vacationed on my own in a new country or continent over a period usually spent with friends and family.

Christmas in The Bahamas was absolutely amazing and I cannot wait to do it again with my girls. To see visuals from my experiences in Bahamas, and what else I have been up to, please visit my MY NEW BLOG, MODE OBSERVER.
